Here’s an old MFA project of mine brought to life by Bryce Kulman for Magic Chicago. I was inspired by state fair posters and old broadsides. It’s exciting to see it up and running. Thanks Bryce!!

A logo for a non-profit counseling center that provides one-on-one therapy to children who have suffered a grievous loss. This therapy includes play therapy, so I wanted to incorporate a drawn element to it without it seeming too child-like. Colors were chosen to be serious but optimistic
The client had a new name, new branding standards, and a tradeshow in two weeks. Collateral needed to be revised and rewritten and brought closer to the new standards. We made it with three days to spare……take a look.
I love the Macro/Micro view of history in this Errol Morris short: The usual historian view is a macro view, where history follows a sort of cause and effect, rational/laws of nature path…but if you start looking at any event under the microscope, there is a whole host of weirdness that seemingly makes no sense. http://nyti.ms/sRZ7es

Including my iTunes (and other!) passwords in my will? I never thought of that! It does point out (yet) another off-setting limitation of the convenience of digital media. It dies with you!
I’ve been thinking a lot about playing card design lately. Especially Ace of Spades designs. Lovely.
